A vintage silver and smoky quartz pendant in the Modernist style by Andreas Daub, Germany

This pendant has a pointed oval outline formed as reeded rays emanating from an oval faceted smoky quartz which has been collet set to the centre. The bail is marked ‘A*D 925’ for the maker Andreas Daub and sterling silver. The pendant is suspended from a rope link silver chain, marked at the clasp ‘925 Italy’.

Andreas Daub established his jewellery company in Pforzheim, Southern Germany, in 1872. It went on to become one of the leading jewellery companies in Europe.
