Sgian dubh with a composite basketweave handle with a plain silver mount to the base. The pommel is set with an open claw mount enclosing a faceted smoky quartz. The steel blade has a scalloped back edge and single fuller. The leather covered wooden scabbard has plain silver shield-shaped mounts, the reverse of which is hallmarked Edinburgh, sterling silver, 1976, and the maker’s mark ‘RA’.
Condition:
The original steel blade shows a small amount natural toning.
