This handmade ring is formed of a hammered shank set with a naturalistic stick-and-ball decoration. The inside of the shank has been stamped with the maker’s mark ‘JvB’ for John Neil van Bogerijen, together with Edinburgh hallmarks for sterling silver and 1965.
John Neil van Bogerijen ran The Jewellery Studio in Brodick on Isle of Arran during the 1960s and 70s.
