A pair of silver stud earrings in a wide leaf shape form, depicting a red enamelled central tulip surrounded by hues of blues, greens and yellows. The reverse is stamped ‘JS’ for Jane Short with hallmarks for sterling silver, London, 1990. The item was purchased in 1990 and comes with the original Oxford Gallery receipt.

Jane Short is a renowned enameller with expertise in applying her colour to both jewellery and silverware which she has been doing since the 1970s. Her work can be found in several public collections including the National Museums Scotland, the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, and the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford.
