A pair of silver, satin-finished, shield-shaped stud earrings displaying a stylized bird (possibly a robin) in coloured enamels of blue, green, orange and yellow. The reverse is stamped ‘JLB' for Jane Louise Birks (her maiden name) with hallmarks for London, 1995. The item was purchased in 1995 at Goldsmiths’ Fair and comes with the original receipt.
Jane Moore is a highly innovative, expert jeweller and enameller. Her career began in the 1970s after qualifying from Loughborough College of Art and Design in Silversmithing and Jewellery.
