A modernist ring where the shank rises and flares to form a sculptured top. Stamped to the interior of the is ‘AJ’ for Arne Johansen, ‘DENMARK’ and ‘925 S’ for sterling silver.
Arne Johansen (1927-2004) was a goldsmith and designer who established his own workshop during the 1950s. His work is very much part of the 20th century Danish modernist movement, displaying clean lines and abstract, sculptural forms.
