These cufflinks display a landscape scene in blue tones that has been created by anodising and engraving a refractory metal (likely titanium). The metal disc has then been riveted in the frame of the cufflink head. At the rear, the cufflinks are secured with a hinged T-bar and are marked ‘GC’ for Graham Crimmins.
Graham Crimmins established his workshop in Edinburgh in 1973. He has held exhibitions at The Scottish Gallery and his work can be found in the National Museums Scotland.
