This small brooch has an arched-shaped outline to the bottom, while the top has been shaped to incorporate an enamel butterfly feeding on a stylised flower head, each enamelled in a golden ochre palate. The reverse is set with hinged steel pin with scroll safety catch. Hallmarked Edinburgh 1978, the makers mark has been obscured by the clasp.
